Why AutoCAD is Important Today

Components are a structural feature used for defining the geometry and other attributes of objects and features in a drawing. A component can be a free-form shape, a symbol, text, or a graphic object. Components can be imported, exported, copied, edited, moved, deleted, and grouped. A component can also be linked to another CAD program, or be linked to an external component.
Libraries are storage areas where you can save and access the common tools used in your drawing or model. Libraries can be used to improve productivity by reusing and sharing commonly used CAD tools. They also allow the user to easily access common tools, even when the tool is not on the drawing tool bar.
A form is a container for related drawings, sections, and data. Forms are used to create a grid for a drawing area, or a tabular work area.
Sections are an element used to group related features in a drawing, such as corridors, walls, openings, or mechanical parts.
Revisions are the saved versions of your drawing, which are stored in the revision library.
There are two types of documents in CAD: sheets and documents. Sheets are CAD drawing objects and stored in a sheet library. Documents are CAD drawing files and stored in a document library.
Templates are containers for common symbols and attributes. They can be defined to contain pre-defined symbols or attributes. Templates are available in AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT.
Press “Start” and start “InDesign Help” dialog.
