AutoCAD includes a programming language called AutoLISP. It is a programming language for AutoCAD that creates dynamic objects, executes external programs, and works with AutoCAD’s command language. It was initially developed by Steve Gabin and was a predecessor to Visual LISP. AutoLISP was supported in AutoCAD starting in AutoCAD 2000. The Programming API for AutoCAD was first used in the year 2000. The AutoLISP API has enabled AutoCAD’s graphical interface to become more dynamic and interactive. The GUI scripting language is an imperative language that works with the user interface in the same way as the standard command language, and can be used to create dynamic objects on the screen, access data sources, and automate processes.
AutoCAD comes with a large range of tools to perform various 2D and 3D tasks. Many of these are available in the Application Explorer. The collection of tools within AutoCAD has been expanded and extended over time. The U.S. military is monitoring North Korean missile tests with the aid of the Missile Defense Agency’s Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system.
GMD, located at Fort Greely, Alaska, is designed to shoot down incoming long-range missiles. Although its stated mission is not to protect against medium and short-range missiles, the Air Force’s defense systems are watching and waiting in the event that North Korea uses medium- and short-range missiles in its aggression against South Korea and Japan.
The U.S. military’s other missile defense systems include Navy Aegis destroyers equipped with SM-3 Block 1A interceptors, as well as an improved missile defense system at Fort Hood, Texas. The latter uses the Navy’s SM-6 missile and is capable of shooting down medium- and intermediate-range missiles.
These defensive systems are not totally impervious to North Korean missile threats, but they can substantially raise the costs of a North Korean attack.
Fury over the march toward war with North Korea in the face of denuclearization efforts have been fueled by speculation that, even if President Donald Trump had his way in a dramatic meeting between himself and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, the North would not give up its nuclear weapons.
The North’s latest missile test came two days after its foreign ministry denounced the White House for mounting “a military provocation” against North Korea. The ministry claimed North Korea’s decision to continue nuclear and missile tests was an “indispensable and legitimate means of self-defense against the U.S. hostile policy and nuclear threats.”
On Monday, the Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying the latest missile test is a “violent breach of the relevant United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions” and vows “stern counteraction.”
The North’s latest test was a two-stage solid-fuel KN-15 rocket, carrying what the country claimed was a new intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).
ICBMs are those capable of carrying a nuclear warhead over the entire United States or some significant part of it. The North, however, has never claimed that it has reached that level of technological capability, with many experts asserting that it has neither the technical expertise nor the know-how to reach ICBM status.
