The new interface was received poorly by existing users, who preferred the previous look and feel. The new interface was later reverted to the previous look and feel in AutoCAD 2004, but with a new AutoCAD menu. AutoCAD LT began in 1988 as a fully automated CAD system that only could create 2D drawings. In its first releases, users could create 2D and 3D drawings, but not edit them. AutoCAD LT 2011 is AutoCAD’s current entry-level version. It is available in both a single-user and multiuser version.
AutoCAD LT 2011 was first released in 2002, and was the last version of AutoCAD LT to have a 32-bit executable. AutoCAD LT 2011 does not support 64-bit Windows operating systems. Its most significant changes included:
Viewer-based navigation and editing, and
Point-based editing and linear dimensioning.
